Privacy statement

TalentVia helps construction tradespeople find suitable work. To do this, we process personal data. This statement explains which data, why, and what rights you have.

What data do we process?

• Contact details: name, phone number, email address.
• Work profile: trades, experience, place of residence and postcode, work area, travel distance, availability, contract type, desired rate, driving licence, own transport, certificates.
• A CV, if you upload one yourself.
• Your answers to our digital assistant.
• Which ad or campaign brought you to us (UTM data).

Why?

To match you with suitable jobs and assignments and to contact you. The legal basis is your consent, which you give when you sign up. You can withdraw it at any time.

Digital assistant and AI

After you sign up, an automated assistant (not a person) asks you a few questions. To understand free text, we may use an external AI service; we only send your answer and the question, never your name or contact details. Decisions about placement are always made by a recruiter.

How long do we keep your data?

For up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

Who do we share your data with?

Only with a client if you agree to it yourself for a specific job. We also work with a few service providers that process data on our behalf:

• Our hosting provider: the server that runs the website and the database.
• Cloudflare: delivers the website quickly and protects it against attacks and abuse. That is why all website traffic goes through Cloudflare.
• An external AI service: helps our digital assistant understand free text. Without your name or contact details, and outside the EU only with appropriate safeguards.
• Meta and Google: only if you consent to ad measurement (see below).

Some of these parties are based outside the EU. Where that is the case, the legal safeguards for data transfers apply.

Cookies and ads

We only use the Meta Pixel, the Meta Conversions API and Google Ads conversion tracking if you give consent in the cookie notice. This is how we measure which ads lead to sign-ups. In doing so, we send encrypted (hashed) contact details to Meta, together with your IP address and browser data (such as the type of browser and device), and we store the ad's click ID. If you decline, we only measure anonymous page visits without cookies and we do not store any click IDs.

Security

Data is sent encrypted, only authorised recruiters have access and all access is logged.

For security, our server keeps a log of visits to the website. It only contains your IP address in shortened form, so it cannot be traced directly back to you. We keep these logs for a short time and only use them to detect faults and abuse.
